Six ways to
see the island
A collection is a point of view on Mallorca, not a filter. Start with the one that sounds most like the trip you are taking.
Most travel sites sort experiences by activity type, which tells you what something is but nothing about whether it belongs in your trip. A sailing charter and a coastal walk sit in different categories and can make up the same perfect day.
So we group things the way people actually travel. Each collection below gathers experiences, services and destinations that work together. An experience can belong to more than one. Most of the good ones do.
Mallorca by Sea
The island makes more sense from the water. Most of the coastline cannot be reached any other way.
Half days and full days on the water, from a small boat you can take into a cove for a morning to a crewed yacht for a week. We match the boat to the group rather than the other way round, which usually means a smaller boat than people expect and a better day for it.
- Private sunset sailing Palma Bay, approx. 3 hours
- A day towards Sa Dragonera Port d’Andratx, full day
- Coastal swim and cliff walk Serra de Tramuntana, approx. 4 hours
Mallorca for Families
The difference between a good family holiday and an exhausting one is almost entirely logistics.
Experiences chosen because they hold a child attention and an adult, with realistic timings and somewhere to eat nearby. Alongside them, the practical arrangements: the villa stocked before you land, the right car seats, a doctor number you will probably never use.
- The valley, on foot Sóller, approx. 3 hours
- An afternoon in a village studio Artà, approx. 2 hours
- A quiet cove morning by boat Santanyí, approx. 4 hours
Mallorca Beyond Tourism
An island with a Roman past, a Moorish period, a Gothic cathedral and a contemporary art scene that has very little to do with the beach.
For travellers who want to understand where they are. Architecture and archaeology, the working countryside, the port, the galleries, and the long Mediterranean history of a place that has been a crossing point for three thousand years.
- Palma through its architecture Palma, approx. 3 hours
- The terraces of the Tramuntana Serra de Tramuntana, half day
- Contemporary art in Palma Palma, approx. 3 hours
Mallorca for Business
Palma is two hours from most of Europe and increasingly where people choose to meet.
Programmes for professional visits, university groups and international delegations: rooms that work for a morning session, a context programme that explains the island economy, and evenings that give a group something to talk about afterwards.
- The island economy, explained Palma, half day
- Group programmes Island-wide, 2 to 5 days
- An evening that closes the trip Palma Bay, evening
The Private Side of Mallorca
Some things are arranged rather than booked.
A studio opened outside its hours. A table in a kitchen rather than a dining room. An introduction to a gallerist, a winemaker, a boatbuilder. These depend on who is available and whether it is the right week to ask. When we can arrange something, we say so plainly. When we cannot, we say that too.
- Private access Arranged individually, subject to availability
- Art and collecting Palma and island-wide
- Special occasions Planned around the date
Slow Mallorca
For trips where the point is to do less, properly.
Walking in the Tramuntana out of season, long lunches in villages that have no reason to impress anyone, a morning at a market followed by an afternoon of nothing. This collection exists because the most common thing we hear at the end of a stay is that it was too full.
- Market morning and a long lunch Santanyí, half day
- Walking the old stone routes Serra de Tramuntana, half day
- An evening table worth keeping Island-wide, evening
Most trips draw on two or three
Very few people fit neatly into a single collection. A family week usually has a day at sea in it. A business visit is often better for an afternoon that has nothing to do with business. Tell your advisor who is travelling and we will put the selection together across collections rather than asking you to choose one.
